Gujarat Elections 2017 Date:
Gujarat Assembly Elections are going to be held in 2017 in Gujarat. The last Gujarat Assembly Elections were held in Gujarat in December 2012 for 182 seats. There are 182 legislative assembly seats in Gujarat.

Gujarat Assembly Elections 2012 Overview:
Gujarat Assembly Elections 2012 were held in two phases. First Phase was on 13th December and second phase was on 17th December. Total Voting percentage in 2012 was 71.32 % which was highest since 1980.
The BJP was lead by Narendra Modi and won 116 seats out of 182 seats. Indian National Congress won 60 seats. BJP also won 4 more seats in Bypolls. So total seats of BJP was 120 in Gujarat Assembly Elections 2012.
In Gujarat Elections 2007, the BJP had won 117 seats.
